Question:

Why doesn't my new 360 link from Answers hook up to my 360?

The link leads to the 'make a 360' page. When I click on 'create a 360' it leads me to the one I made....

What am I doing wrong?

Thankyou.

PS: I have made 360's before and have had no problems with them.

  1. I don't know anyone who isn't having major problems with their 360's... because..

Yahoo is in the process of launching a new platform here on this site.

The 360 will no longer be called the 360 after this.. we will have a new blogger and other things which yahoo has not announced yet.. Until that then they have stopped doing maintenance on the 360 and have pulled a lot of the server from it to give it to the new platform,  it is extremely difficult to not give up on this site lately.. they set a date for the change over to take place through a letter to a friend of mine who published it in a blog to us.. but  it has passed us by already.. .

The 360 product blog has a blog posted by Matt Warburton .. the new head of Yahoo 360 site.. that explains most of the questions you might have.. here is the link to that blog

    http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360

I hope they get it together soon!

  2. If you click on your own 360 link, it will take you to your own page.

First. Make sure your URL address check

    Click on 'edit my info'

In the privacy section set your 360 link to show.

    Preview and click OK

But if this does not work, go to your 360 with your ''my page'' open

Copy the correct URL from your address bar .

    Back to answers profile

    Click on ''edit my info'

And paste your 360 link in the ''about me'' section

    Preview and click OK.

If you are under age you can not have your 360 link show in your answer profile.

But to add it to your ''about me'' will work/\. l have mine set both ways.

  3. I'm not sure what you mean by "new 360 link". There is one 360 space per Yahoo ID. So, if you've made a 360 space for this ID, then you can display it in your Y/A profile by clicking "My Profile" to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then clicking "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the Privacy section and check the option of showing the link to your 360 page. Click Preview button and then the Ok button.

If it doesn't work (it has been a buggy feature) or the option is missing, put a full link in your "About Me" section.

    - Click "My Page"

    - Click the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page".

    - Choose PUBLIC as the permission group and click the "Go" button

    - Click the "Top Page" link above your personal profile picture section on the left side.

    - Select & copy the FULL web address that appears in your web browser's address bar (starting from the http:// part)

    - Paste the address in your Y/A profile's "About Me" section with a space following it. If you have a Simple URL setup, use that instead. Make sure A SPACE follows the address.

The feature to display a 360 link is usually blocked users who are under age 18. But it is also just a glitch for others.

UPDATE: You really shouldn't depend on your Y/A profile to access your 360, if that's what you plan to do. The main way to get o your 360 space is as follows...

    - Go to http://360.yahoo.com

    - Click the teeny tiny "Sign-in" link on the upper left of the page (if you're not already signed in). After signing in, the page refreshes and you should click on the teeny tiny "Yahoo 360 Home" link on the upper right of the page to get into the 360 space.
