Why doesn't paypal accept my debit card!?

O.K, so i just got my Visa Check card and I've tried to open an account on Paypal for about 5 times, and every time it tells me that "The account was unable to create" but it doesn't give a real reason why, im pretty sure i've activated my card through my banks website....if u know any ideas why this is happening, please help. Thanks.

  1. Debit cards are designed for the account holder to access their own funds when paying for goods and services. Pay Pal needs a credit card, so when you buy something it can be charged to that card account. You can give Pay Pal your bank account number. They will deposit two small amount of money into it and you will then need to confirm those deposits at Pay Pal's site. This will indicate to them that it is your bank account.  


  2. phone your bank up and see if you have activated it. i did it on-line and it takes about a week.
