  1. Because we do not need any sugar in our diet.although natural sugars found in fruit are okay,but processed sugars are bad.


  2. Well the simple answer is that there isn't a scientific agreement about at what level of intake sugar becomes harmful. With other limited nutrients like fats, saturated fat, and sodium, there is agreed upon data concerning what levels contribute to a defininte increased risk in certain diseases (such as heart disease, etc.) Trans fat is another nutrient without a daily value, again for the same reason.  

  3. you aren't really supposed to have much so they don't reccomend it. and if they don't reccomed it then they can't tell you how much to take in.
