  1. Rhode Island will have a HUGE fan base

  2. Are you kidding me?

  3. It goes by population. The more people, the more teams. Also I'm pretty sure that it's way to cold for Alaska to have a team, I don't see people playing in minus 50 degrees. It'd bring new meaning to frozen tundra. Plus some states may not have the resources to have a team.

  4. Because there are some states such as Montana and Idaho that don't have a large enough population to support a NFL team.

  5. That's a good idea. As a Pennsylvania native, I would be happy to donate either the Steelers or the Eagles to Delaware. The bidding will start at one dollar.

  6. 50 teams? How long would you want the season to last?

  7. Because markets are bigger in some states than other's some states can sustain 2 or 3 teams due to the per capita ala Texas, FLA,CA,NY

  8. that'll be too much teams, too much players coming in at the same draft, the draft will probably take forever

  9. That would be retarded.  There is not uniform interest in football or population by state.  The California and New York teams would be making thousands of times more money than the Alaska and Wyoming teams, and the smaller market teams would be unable to compete.

  10. Well, there usually has to be a demand and/or suitable productive market for the team that doesn't interfere with another. For example, you'll never see an NFL team in Kansas due to the fact that the state is located completely between 2 NFL franchises (the KC Chiefs and Denver Broncos). Furthermore, the population would not be very likely to foot the bill for the construction of a stadium, as the state is largely rural and thus there would also need to be renovation of roads (KS has beautiful roads, BTW) to bypass into interstates, hotels to accomodate visiting fans and teams, venues to service these visitors, etc. This, among countless other reasons, is why the NFL expansion process is very deliberate about which locations are suitable for league expansion.

  11. That would not be wise.. 50 teams too much travel, less talented players/// more money for fans to spend...

  12. I'd love to have an NFL team here in Virginia, but it looks like it won't ever happen. A lot of times it's limited by space, money, and attraction. For example, the Washington Redskins are considered the "home team" in VA. If you pulled away that fan base to support a VA team, the Redskins might be affected, and so on. I personally don't root for them anyways, so I wouldn't care what happened to them...

  13. Let's carry it farther, why doesn't the NFL have a team for every city

  14. 50 NFL team?Thats way too many and alot of states don't have enough population to support an NFL team.
