Remove illegal downloading sites, like limewire, torrentspy, TPB, etc. If most of the uploads of games, music movies and such are illegal to download why don't they shut down the sites?

  1. So, you WANT big brother do do this?

  2. 1) The sites/programs themselves aren't illegal. Just as a knife isn't illegal, but stabbing someone with a knife IS illegal. It's all in how something is used.

    2) The internet is (mostly) free of government control. That's not to say they can't enact control over it, but it's an international entity. So the United States government doesn't have the right to control what people from OTHER countries are doing. If someone from Finland is breaking a U.S. law, but not a Finnish law, should the U.S. prosecute him? The government would have to censor all internet access to certain websites, which is violating our rights.

  3. Because alot of those sites are in other countries were they don't have jurisdiction to shut them down.
