  2. We do. It's called National Insurance and you pay it as a percentage of your income.

    You have to pay it. That sounds like compulsary to me :P

  5. It'll come soon enough. It has to as the NHS will not be able to sustain a comprehensive level of service as it does now. Even though the NHS is funded by our NI contributions it is envitable that we will all have to contribute more by health insurance.

    It's only in this country do we bury our heads in the sand by thinking everything will stay the same. It's just not the way of things anymore.

  7. France does not have a compulsory health insurance, unless you are referring to the Social Contributions, which is the same as UK National Insurance payments
