I think that we the people have common sense, dont we? Maybe Im giving our population too much credit. After all it is because of all of you that our country has gone to the toilet. You blame the polititions, but what have you done to change anything? oh!!!! you voted ooooh you problably arent educated enough to make a good deicision. You base your vote on emotion, looks, and polorization. Very very rediculous. Our four fathers would be pist. Remember it is you the people "educated" that can make the difference not a politition. quite expecting someone else to solve the problems for you get involved and get educated.

Sorry about the rant but Im disgusted at the ignorance I read here.

  1. I have a reasonably high IQ (138) and I think for myself.  I also question everything, and trust little until I have examined ALL the facts.

What you are referring to is called the dumbing down of America. From producing truly "informative entertainment" like  "The Dukes of Hazzard"  to watching Katie Couric.

    Have a look.

    http://www.rockypatterson.com/DUMBING/in...

You'll see how pitiful it all is.

  2. I would somewhat agree with you. I would say that there is truth in both parties, fault and blame as well. People who refuse to take a truthful, objective look at the issues as opposed to thier loyalties to political parties are just plain ignorant.  I am a registered Republican, but I vote on issues. I am also Catholic so I vote first as a Christian. To me the dignity of the human person and how my vote will affect others are the most important things to consider when voting.

  3. neither extreme seems to have sense.... that's why theres' this thing called compromise and such... to make sure things get done.

    To the left:

You can't keep giving people money, cuz they become dependant on it, and then they don't go out and find jobs...

    To the right:

Giving tax cuts to the rich helps no one

  4. the left doesn't have any sense at all

  5. Drugs for the far left, senility for the far right

  6. Imagine if everyone thought the same way. We need extreme views to keep balanced. We are a nation built on conflict. We like to debate and argue. Think of this as the balance of power. For myself, I email my legislatures on issues I feel strongly about. I am not afraid to talk politics at a party, work, etc.

  7. you ARe giving the general public too much credit.. on the whole.. the people are idiots. and the more extreme you go on the political spectrum.. the more idiotic you get. i'm a rush limbaugh-listening, mark levine-loving, sean hannity & fox news-watching old-school Reagan conservative.. yet on numerous political rating quizzes, i check out as a moderate conservative...

the reason for this is because i, unlike these radicals and ignorant uneducated fools being led by CNN and obama's HOPES (not actions) for change,  DO have the common sense you speak of, and i can look at the raw information regarding a certain issue, ponder it, and formulate my own opinion on the matter and how I believe it can be solved.

  8. I agree... Red vs. Blue politics are getting a bit old.

The CNN poll the other day said

    McCain X%

    Obama X%

    UNDECIDED X%

I guess it isn't really all THAT shocking that a major news source would refuse to admit that there are other parties out there, after all... where do the masses get their narrow-minded information from?

  9. Whose common sense ?

There is no such thing as common sense.  What is common to you, may be foreign to me, and vice versa.
