I am in contact with various companies that make CNG conversion kits overseas that all any car. Why won't the government allow consumers to convert these vehicles to CNG? A mechanic I know does this for a local city fleet and tells me it takes about two hours to convert. I want to know why this technology is not being made available to consumers.

  1. It is available to consumers in the us.

My grandfathers tractor was cng back in the 1940's.

You can get the equipment and have it done in the US.

It is considered an alternate fuel and as such you may be able to get a tax credit for the conversion.

To be certain of that you may wish to look on the DOE website.

    "Department Of Energy"

  2. I strongly recomend you to watch the documentary who killed the electric car

  3. nat gas in a tank on a car with pressure could be very bad

  4. cause it wouldn't pass crash tests

  5. Imagine the trillions of dollars that would be lost if the petroleum industry were to vanish. Not to mention the millions of people that would be out of work and displaced.. from the people working in the oil rigs to the designers of the oil rigs to the ones that supply the food to the people on the oil rigs then to the gas stations, oil companies, scholarships and what have you.. then go on to the petroleum shipping/transport sector.. trillions of dollars worth of tankerships and pipelines not operational and still not paid off the debts to the banks.. then the other hundreds of thousands of people who work for those banks that will close because the debts cannot be paid.. and the list goes on and on. I am to lazy to keep on writing as the losses and negative reprecussions are too many to list here.

The transition to non-petroleum based fuels will eventually happen; but it must be controlled in order to keep order. Think about that for a minute or two.
