  1. It does.  But not all wavelegths.  Scientists use satellite instruments on orbit to determine what is called the ERBE or Earth Radiation Budget Experiment.  It determines how much energry the sun is putting into our atmosphere versus how much is being reflected or radiated into space.

  4. other things such as clouds and glacial ice packs reflect some sunlight too....we feel an immensely small portion of what energy the Sun does send to Earth
