Because they forgot or They didn't know there servers were down. Just a Guess

They did forget, maybe.

The games servers have been down since yesterday. I guess they are doing maintenance and upgrading. It may not have been a planned outage, but they don't usually tell us how long they will be down. This is much longer than usual though.
