Why doesn't yahoo member search work?

Why doesn't yahoo member search work showing who's online? Why wouldn't Yahoo at least acknowledge the problem? Perhaps Microsoft could fix? doubtful

Yahoo will never give you a proper answer. They are far too busy to penalise people.

Every year, their Member Directory search function seems to go down in about December and in May for approximately 4 to 7 weeks. Happened this time last year, too. When users' complaints become obvious, they should post a "We're aware of and working on problem" note on the Search's main page. But: nope. That would make sense, so these dweebs don't think of or do it. I can't believe nobody could fix the solution in all that time and, so, it's got to be some deliberate snafu during which times they are updating or tweaking things. Their ignoring us is almost more annoying than the problem.
