Why doesn't yahoo search save my preferences?

Question

I can't save the preferences for Yahoo search. I have turned off all my anti-spam/anti-virus when saving the preferences. My cookies are enable for Yahoo. As soon as I close the browser, all preferences are lost. I am current running Win vista, Firefox 2.0 and Norton anti-virus. I was able to do it with Win XP and Firefox in the past. Haven't be able to find the solution. This is happening on both my laptops. I assume it have to be with one of the software running in the background.
