Why doesn't youtube give us the option to remove our comments?

allot of people including myself make mistakes and put a comment on youtube that we regret. why doesn't youtube give us the option to delete that mistake comment? I try and think before I post, but I can't help but make mistakes soemtimes.

I always think the same thing, but people just don't like our opinions. I guess they think that if your comment has a thumbs down and you don't like it. You're gonna delete it and post another one. Unlike Yahoo Answers, they only give you one chance and then they don't let you answer the same question again. So I rather write another comment than deleting it and can never comment on that video again, if you know what I mean. So I'm pretty confusing. Hahaha.
