Why doesnt my 78 yamaha xs 650 get spark?

1978 yamaha xs 650, it wont give spark???

has new points its been timed, what else can make it have no spark??

Those bikes had bad ignition systems in them I would try to change over to  Dyna coils and wires. Of course I assuming you have checked the rest compression , timing
