The subway by me cuts it half way down so it looks somewhat stuff but on the commercial its cut all the way through. Not that i need the extra calories but if you show it that way then thats the way it should look when i purchase it. Wheres Ralph Nader at ?

  1. because the television magnifies the actual size of the sandwich. A person with a 10 inch TV will see a smaller sandwich than a person with a 60 inch TV because of the TV's proportions

  2. Because your tv is better than the fast food places. You gotta have the right person at Subway and they will load it just how you want.

  3. you should tell them this incomvienience it important tell the to give u more or change the commercial!i totally agree!

  4. Graphic arts and advertising execs have many creative ways of tricking the customer to buy delicious looking foods.  Presentation is everything.

  5. The food you see on TV commercials aren't edible. They are undercooked and use food "Makeup" to make it look freshly cooked. TV always makes items look bigger to show the details. If the sandwich was actually as big as shown on TV it wouldn't fit in the containers.

  6. They do that to make you want it. They add items by CGI to help sell it. Just like when you try and make a recipe and it does not look like the picture. They only do it to try and get you to buy their product.

  7. I managed Subway for many years, so I know from a Subway standpoint what it is- and I'm sure the other guys do the same thing...

Subway uses a "food artist"  (not to be confused with a sandwich artist to make the food on commercials look bigger. The meat they put on the sandwiches on the commercials is the same amount of meat on your sandwich, it's just folded and stacked in such a way that it makes it look like it is a lot more than it really is. And then it is held together with nails which keep it all together (if a sandwich was stacked together like it was in the commercial, it would not hold together. Add the right amount of veggies, use the right piece of bread (one which is a little bit underproofed so it is smaller) and you have a sandwich which looks huge, but really isn't.

  8. When I get a subway, and I do a lot, I always ask for more lettuce, yada, yada, yada.  It works and then it looks like the picture.  and it depends on who makes your sandwich.  Some make them look like the pictures, others just slop the stuff on and it's falling out by the time you pick it up!
