Why doesnt some friends ever call back?

Hi, i have good friends now yayy. but since we dont have any classes with eachother i call them maybe 2ce a week. but when i leave a voicemail on their house fones or even cell or text they dont call back or someone picks up and will say " they will call you back later today." but they dont call back! i talked to them about it because it makes me mad, and they said oh sorry i wont do it again. but they do. i can understand if they are busy, but come on. not all of my friends do this, only some. but i dont want it to reuin our friendship because they are good friends and very nice, but why do they do this? what would you do? what else i can do besides not calling because i do want to call if they pick up! please help !!! xoxo :]

one of my friends used to call me allll  the time and i never really wanted to talk.

we were very good friends, but i just hate talking on the phone.

stop calling! only call every few days or when you really want to plan something.

if you call too much and get angry when they dont answer, you will be seen as stalker-ish and will lose friends.

just know that its not you, when they dont call back. its just that

1 they dont want to talk

2 they truly are busy

3they forgot to call you back

4 they hate phone calls

5 or maybe they never realized there was a call from you

just chill and be thankful you have friends

Of course this may not be the case for all of them, but... I've always hated talking on the phone. One of my best friends for 10 years used to call me all the time and parents would answer or whatever and if I wasn't there they would tell me to call her back. But I hardly ever did. After a  while I just flat out told her, lets hang out or whatever but I hate talking on the phone. (wierdest girl ever I know) Anyway if she ever needs me for anything she knows i'm there. I just hate talking on the phone about nothing.

Here's what you do:

Isolate yourself away from the one's who don't call back. it may be hard but do it. If they truly care for you they will start to call you more. If not then I hate to say this but you may have to move on to other friends.

your friends might honestly be horrible about responding to stuff.

just try to be with them at break or lunch or before school

and never just trust the person who tells you they will tell your friend you called because in reality, EVERYONE forgets to. ugh.

tell your friends everything you just told us, and make them listen. if they shrug it off, maybe it is time to find some new best friends. this doesnt mean you should stop being friends with these people, but they dont have to be your very best friends. if people dont care that they are completely ignoring you, dont waste so much energy on them.

get friends that really like u...or get a friend and and tell them to call u or get a new friend to always call... and when they dont call back dont get mad just talk to someone like a neighborhood friend
