Why doesnt vodka freeze when you put it in the freezer?

I was having a party and I wanted to see if the vodka would freeze.

I wonder?...

freezing temp of ethanol is -114c. even at 50% alcohol you will not even get close.

Vodka is 40% ethanol and 60% water. When a substance is dissolved in water, it lowers the freezing point of the solution. In vodka, the freezing point of the solution is lowered so much that the new freezing point is below the temperature of the freezer.
