Yes... you read the question right...

I picked up a charger and batteries from Target a couple of days ago, and I didn't realize that it was for digital cameras... and well, it doesn't work.

I was tired of spending so much in regualr batteries, and decided to go rechargable. But why don't these batteries work in it? They're the same size... and they look like any other AA... but they don't work in the vibrator.

  1. have you tried the new rechargeable batteries in something else, like cd player or something. then you know whether it is the batteries or the vibrator.

  2. There is one difference between ordinary batteries and rechargeable ones: The voltage of the ordinary batteries is 1.5 Volts and rechargeable batteries is usually only 1.2 Volts.

I think a simple motor (I would expect in your case) should work fine with rechargeables, but if this device includes some electronics it could be possible that 1.2 Volts is too low for operation.

  3. uh,    Are they charged???????????????
