  1. The best way to play them is to download a video converter. i use "any video converter" and convert them to wma.

    Good luck

  2. Most likely you dont have the video codecs installed  in your laptop and that is preventing to some files to be played in your media player, try to download some codecs, the most popular are XVID and DIVX, You can search for them in google, or download the K-LITE codec pack.

  3. Download this:

    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_li...

It consists of all up-to-date codecs available, and of its own player. It should play avi and other common formats.

    Hope this helps

  4. what video player do you use, maybe your player don't support avi files, you can use windows media player, if you want to watch the avi files to ipod, cell phone or other portable devices you need a video converter software which can help you convert your avi files to mp4 supported by ipod, iphone, 3gp supported by cell phone and other video and audio files, i prefer movavi video converter because it also can rip dvd and the conversion speed is fast, you can free download it at http://www.topsevenreviews.com/movavi-vi... best of luck
