Question:

Why don't American boycott Korean goods?

Many people in South Korea are protesting about U.S. beef. They are afraid of BSE (mad cow disease). However, the U.S. has banned used recycled feed. The hidden message under the boycott is that they say the government wasn't strong enough to the U.S. government. To me that is bull (pun intended).

Think about all of the Korean products in the U.S. Samsung, Kia, Hyndai, etc. I think Americans should unite, support our beef industry and boycott all Korean goods. What do you think?

  1. If the boycott happened there would be massive global economic crisis and stock crashes

  2. Americans boycott anti-American communist Cuba, that's why we have an economic blockade against them.

North Korea is far from us.

  3. They're always moaning about something, just like the protests in Japan.  I think we should pull our military bases.  But yes, I'm with you, I won't buy any Korean products.

  4. I don't think I use any of their cheap products anyway.

  5. Will it solve the mess out there?

    It's tracing the faults.

On what went wrong out there.

Why were they quite sore with the imports?

    What had gone wrong.

    Trace the faults.

    Then will solve the misery.

    Instead of t*t for tat.

    What do you think?

  6. Interesting. I think the USA should largely stop the whole "free trade" nonsense and support domestic industries.

I do not have any particular animus towards South Korea, however. The trade policies of Mexico and Red China are far more damaging, in my opinion.

  7. I agree but i don't think that Americans have it in them to stand up for what is right unless they are pushed to a certain point which we have not made it to that.

  8. There are way too many Korean made goods that we Americans use every day. Not just cell phones and cars, but there are a lot of other appliances and other daily use products that we take for granted. Ask somebody to give up their Samsung or LG cell, they'd probably laugh at you! The U.S. and South Korea are still allies, but with a little tension. Pulling out of Korea would be good, but not because we're mad about the cattle trade. Should we cease trade with all countries that go against our every policy? The U.S. can't afford that, especially when China and India would be happy to pick up what we drop! Be smart, not a gut reactionist.
