Question:

Why don't CD's skip on the more expensive stereo systems when turned up at high volumes?

At first, I had an RCA 400-watt 5-CD stereo that I bought for $100 and it gave me h**l when I turned the volume up and even when I've turned it up all the way. Even when I put the subwoofer on the floor, the CD still skipped! I returned it to the store and then went to Circuit City and spent $300 on a Panasonic 660-watt 5 CD stereo (SC-AK750) and when I turn the volume up, it does not skip at all, even when turned all the way up to 50! Why do the more expensive ones always have the best quality?

  1. you get what you pay for

  2. Its because the most likely put a better laser design in the cd player so it absorbs vibrations and jerks better than the cheap ones.
