Why don't Canadians LOVE Labatt beer?

And go for Alexander Keiths and other beers and even German, Irish, Belgian, American beers.

So if I drink Labatt for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, that's not a way to become more Canadian?

  1. I don't like any beer so I am not being prejudice when saying that I don't love Labatt's beer

  2. You are what you are.

Why would a brand of beer make anyone more or less

    whatever their nationality is?

As far as Labatt's is concerned.....I believe MOST

Canadians don't consider it the beer that typifys

Canada because it's a FRENCH Canadian beer.

(they would really prefer the 'Frogs' to all pack up

and go back to France...or else try to assimilate

with the majority population by at least learning to

speak English!!) If it's not actually French beer,

the name Labatt is a French name...and that's all

it takes to not be well recieved in the great white

    north.

Wanna feel more like a true Canadian?

    Drink Molson's Canadian....as the add

    says, "Molson's....Canadian for beer."

Or even Moosehead would be a better

choice than the nasty backwater swill

    called Labatts.

To me the word 'labatt' sounds like the

noise made when one throws up from

    drinking to much, "eh?"

  3. I think we Canadians perfer Molson more!

  4. I don't find it that bad.

its just a good cheap way to get drunk.

    there's better.

    labatt bleue is pretty good.

celtic tart, you are one very sad individual.

  5. I can't say I know any Canadians who go for the regular old american beers..........Labatts' is OK, its what I started out on way back when. Alexander Keith's however has an interesting flavour, as well as many foreign beer.......I prefer Moosehead, many Molson types now that my tastes have "evolved."

*celtic tart : most Canadians would not prefer if our French brethren packed up and moved back to France! However, if the Quebecois politicians who preach separatism want to, I will not try to stop them.

  6. Because it is fairly boring beer.
