Question:

Why don't I absorb water?

I am dehydrated a lot, so I drink water, right? Wrong. Instead of my body absorbing the water, I pee it all out 5 minutes later. No matter how much I drink, I just pee it all back out in clear pee.

Is it just me, or is that sort of ridiculous?

  1. Chances are you're absorbing more than you think.

If you wanted to, you could test it out After your first wee of the morning, drink a measured amount of water, say 2 pints. Then when you next go to the loo, go into a measuring jug; any difference between what comes out and 2 pints is what you will have absorbed. Although you might not want to wee in any of your kitchen equipment...

Although I agree with what they said, you can see a doctor - polyuria (or producing lots of dilute urine) is a key symptom of diabetes, and it's easily tested - you just have to wee on a little stick which tests for sugar in your urine.

  2. the short answer is to go  see a doctor, but in reality, it is probably just that you drink too much. try drinking smaller portions each time, and if this doesn't work, see a doctor

  3. You may have diabetes. Go see a doctor.
