I am 18 and work. i made over 3,000 last year but i live at home. My parents are not going to recieve the 300 dollar check for me because I'm over age. However, because they claim me on thier taxes I can't recieve it either. Shouldn't one or the other get a check??

  1. You should have filed and stated on your filing that you are claimed by your parents, then you would have received the stimulus. Perhaps its not too late, check with H&R block, or you may be able to claim it next year for 2007. You may find the info you need at the link below.

  2. Nope.  That ain't the way Congress wrote the law.

  3. That's the way the law was written - complain to your congressman or senator.  Lots of people don't get stimulus money.

  4. If you are a dependent you do not get it and if you are 17 or over they do not get it.
