Question:

Why don't I see Quicktime Pro in use? How do I use it to convert .wav to .aif?

I bought the software online and followed all the poor directions Apple gives. (Their directions are always poor and it's frustrating!) Because I don't know computers so well, I follow directions literally. I did the registration code procedure -and still, everytime I click on the QT icon, it's only QT icon, and does not read QTPro. Is this right? I would like to use what I just purchased. I want to convert my .wav files to AIFF. Please help. (and be specific in directions) -Thank you.

  1. When you purchase and install it, the the QT Pro options are enabled in QT Player.

    Open the WAV in QT Player.

    File -> Export and select Sound to AIFF.

    You don‘t even need QT Pro to convert WAV to AIFF.

    Add the WAV files to iTunes.

    ITunes prefs -> Advanced Importing.

    Set it to AIFF.

    Select the WAV in iTunes then menu Advanced -> Convert selection to AIFF.
