Why don't I see myself as online when I go to a Group site ?

I see the sign like I'm sleeping and not the smiling face.

they never seem to work for me either, must be a glitch or just slow..  you probably show up after you leave..

This is how to change it to show the smiling face that means you are online:

Sign in to Yahoo.

Near top of page, click on "My Account".

Enter your password.

On the right side of the page, click on "Edit/Create Profiles".

Click "Edit" located to the right of the profile you want to change your on-line status.

Scroll down to the small green colored "On Yahoo!" and click "Edit".

In small print, you will see (Note: To hide your "online status" (smiley face) from other users). You will need to click on the blue "click here".

Another page will come up. Down just a little ways, remove the checkmark in the square in front of "Check the box to hide my online status (smiley face) from other users.

On the upper right side of page, click "Finished Editing".
