I don't know where you got that from but it's wrong.Iraqis are just like any one else,and they use toilet paper like anyone else.

Actually it's an Arab thing, not just Iraqi and for the guy who says they do; well this is the REAL reason one doesn't touch another with one's left hand.

It evolved from a lack of cheap paper: no trees, and papyrus was too expensive to use for something like this.  However, "westernized" Arabs do in fact use toilet paper.

Maybe because there are no trees in that godforsaken country in order to make paper.
