Why don't Irish People celebrate McDonald's worldwide sucess ?

Its not Irish and it is A  Muck Food Emporium ,it does not deserve the Title Restaurant or indeed Cafe .These Words mean that it sells Food and Mc Donalds is a Fast Food Junkshop there Stuff is very Unhealthy and should be Banned from Europe where even the Smallest Cafe Produces Better Food than they Mac Donalds do. We are starting to get the Problems that they have in US with Overweight Due in no small Part  to American Muck Food Emporiums Like, Kentucky Fried Chicken. Kingburgers. and Mac Donalds. Yuck Yankee Food Murders.

Because it's from the USA, not Ireland. Though I've heard they pay royalties to an Irish family because they tried to stop them from opening their own restaurant under the family name.

But yeah, and maybe it's cuz McDonald's sucks *** something fierce. It's a surprise they're still open.

Because McDonalds in an American fast-food ****hole that I avoid like the plague. I would have to be on the verge of starvation b4 I would eat there. Yuck.

Well, first of all, McDonald is a Scottish family name, not Irish. Huge difference there.

Second, this is an American corporation that has spread cheap, fattening, unhealthy food around the world. I cannot think of any exotic location that I have traveled to that didn't have at least one McDonalds cluttering the landscape. I find that a very sad fact.

Finally, Ireland has it's own rich food culture based on locally produced produce, dairy, meats and some of the finest seafood in the world. Why should they celebrate the c**p food you get at McDonalds?

Wow, never thought of that.  Personally, I always thought of McDonalds as American, despite the "Mc."

It's also a huge (probably) evil corporation, and is contributing to poor health all over the world.  It also puts small-time mom&pop restaurants out of business.  

Personally, I'm not lovin' it.
