  1. I did not know most did not? Those who do not, find salvation in the extensive minor league systems that both sports have. Where football recognition comes mostly from your college years, in Baseball or Hockey a player can build their way up from the minor leagues.

  2. mlb gets alot of its players from latin and asian countries. top skilled players who proabably didn't have enough money to go to college. the nhl is a bit different. and i think u make a good case with that sport. maybe its because the nhl is less popular in colleges around the states, besides the northern ones, that the ones who really do decide to make a future in the nhl are the ones who play in competitive junior leagues in canada or in the echl or ahl in america where they still get paid a decent amount of money. but there are some in the league who have chosen college first and get in when there 22-23. most nhlers are drafted when there 18 yrs old.

  3. Most do but colage baseball and hockey arent very popular
