Why don't Olympic marathon runners wear iPods?

It's a rule that you cant wear headphones of any kind when running, also at track meets they are not allowed to play music with lyrics over the loudspeakers. Also in a marathon you would want to keep pace and music might get you out of pace, is why people dont do it even if they could.

yes it is against the rules. They have to be able to hear sirens, horns, or directions.

its against the rules, plus the smart ones dont want ipods since they wouldnt be able to hear their breathe wich is very important and since it damages your ears.

no i dont think so it might be because it might be a distraction and it might get in ur way when your trying to concentrate
