Why don't Saudi men stand up for their rights and just marry Muslim women from foreign countries?

Instead of letting King Abdullah and the Royal Family tell you that you can only marry Saudi, USA, or UK women? Islamic marriage certificates and the Islamic declaration certificates ["Al-Shahada"] needed for a Saudi Arabian marriage to a foreign wife must first be authenticated by an Islamic center of the respective county or state and then by:

Why should the Saudi family be allowed to do what they want and the people can not? Nowhere in the Hadiths or Qur'an is it allowed for the Government to prohibit Muslims from marrying other Muslims.

They do marry foreign women, know how many Saudi women are angry that there husbands married the filipina and Indian maid as a 2nd wife? Or went on a "business" trip only to come home with a Pakistani 2, 3rd wife who is half his age?

Same thing everywhere when it comes to government, do as I say, not as I do, people everywhere are afraid of change, humans are just like wild animals, if it's different it's scary and must be scared off or attacked, so they promote bigotry and get away with it, so much for enlightened times huh.

hmm? lets see.. me and my mother (im half saudi/american, my mother full american/married to saudi) we belong to a group of foreign women called mixed nuts... All women married to Saudi's.. I have lady friends from Japan, Germany, Australia, Philipines, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, England, the list is endless... So Im not sure what you are on about....

They don't just allow Saudi men to marry women from the US or UK.  I don't know where you got that information from.  Please let me know why you think Americans and British get a free pass to marry Saudi men!!!  We go through the same process as everyone else!!!

I am American and married to a Saudi.  Our application was first rejected, and we were already married legally and Islamically in the US.  We were only approved after my husband talked to people who knew people, etc.  That's how it goes here...

A lot of Saudis marry foreigners, especially those from other Arab nations.  It just takes time and patience to get the marriage approved.

Also, there's a difference between those who apply and are not married yet and those who already got married and want to have their marriage accepted by the Saudi gov't.

I believe that this kind of law comes from the culture.  It's obviously not from Islam.  But, the Arab people are tribal.  They like to marry within the same tribe or a common tribe.  For example, all my in-laws marry people who are from the same area of Saudi Arabia because they're culturally the same and speak the same dialect of Arabic.  Most of them never considered marrying anyone from outside that area.

This kind of 'marriage law' also happens in other gulf countries, so singling out Saudi Arabia isn't exactly fair.  It's something that needs to change in the whole gulf region.
