Why don't Spurs just reject Manchester United's bid for Berbatov?

Well because Berbatov wants to move and if he doesn't it would be an awkward situation for both Berba and Spurs. If Berba wants to go to City then he'll go, if he wants to go to United then he should be allowed to. He should pursue his main goal which is CL football, other than that he has no reason to leave Tottenham.

If he doesn't want to go to city they can't make him. And surely better to sell him for around 30mill, than have him in reserves where they have to pay him.

Well they have already, Tottenham haven't given Man u permission to talk to him, so now they will find out on sky that he already has I reckon they want him to go to city to stick two fingers up at Fergie.

I really thought that was what Spurs were going to do!!! I mean, Manchester United hound Berbatov all summer only for him to be sold to their biggest rivals-That would teach them!!!!!!

As it happens I think Berbatov would be better off at United-Maybe not finacially but in terms of his career-and for United, A move there would be best all round-Accept for City that is!!

If he's going to sign for city he has just under 2.5hours to get over there agree terms and pass a medical. He is Spurs problem till the next transfer window or they sell on Man U terms.

From an outsiders point of view, it's pure comedy, but you can see those official complaints flying thick and fast tomorrow :0)

spurs have rejected the bid for him, and haven't given Man U permission to talk to him, so they're going to be in hot water over this tomorrow.

However, it looks like he may try to force through the move to Man U by rejecting any of Man C's contract offers.

Also, can anyone imagine Mark Hughes' face when he was told he had £100 million to spend but only 12 hours to do it... "get me a phone, some coffee, and a list of the 100 best players in the world"
