Why don't Turkish and Lebanese muslims pray that much?

They are just more laid back there. I was in Turkey on vacay last week and I was really surprised. The call to pray rang out and no one stopped what they were doing.

Because some a fanatic and some are tolerant.

I had a muslim coworker who used to drink his beer on the afterwork-party, saying Allah is far away from Germany, he won't see it.

in this modern age it is not always possible to follow the traditional ways of praying, dressing etc. IMO whatever belief you have, if you are true to it in your heart then that's fine. With the veil its down to personal choice. Why does it bother you so much?

Why were the Arabic speaking fat men on the beach recording the bikini-clad women with their cell phones? I bet their wives and mothers are covered head to toe.

(They did the right thing by stopping this shameful act when they saw my hard stare. Else, I was going to call the police. Or inform the delikanlı Turkish guys around.)

veil is not compulsuary and also how do you know? because they might just pray at home....but its true they are 'moderate' muslims tho there are still ppl out there with a lot of faith

The Veil does not symbolize how good a Muslim is or is not!!!!!!

How do you know who prays and who does not? This kind of talk is talk of someone who is understanding their deen WRONG....

Look at Egypt in the last 15 years our form of Islam has gone crazy, now so many people think Islam means growing a beard or wearing the Veil...BUT they forgot that Islam also means working hard, being nice to people, smiling and not giving people bad looks, having a good heart, not judging people......

In Egypt now where Islam has changed so much in the past 10-15 years, it has all become just LOOKS, 15 years ago in Egypt the VEIL WAS VERY VERY RARE to see, now you see it everywhere, but in reality, 15 years ago people were much better, they didn't do as many bad things as they do now...i know many girls in Egypt who wear the veil just because so many else do, but they do not pray or fast and they have s*x even before marriage!

I swear i was at a party in Cairo last month and there was one girl wearing the veil there, and she was drinking bear..lol!

don't be fooled by OUTER APPEARANCES....Islam is in the the Heart and the way you treat people and between YOU & GOD mostly!
