Question:

Why don't Wall Street analysts, economists and employers just tell the truth about the crappy economy?

I've been looking for a job for months and nobody wants to hire because the economy is awful right now. I don't know where people are going to work. I don't know how they're going to pay their bills. This is bad. Really bad. People are going hungry out there now. I don't want to tell people to panic just yet, but we're definitely getting near the panic level. Anyone who is unemployed understands what I am saying here. Those with jobs might understand.

  1. The reason that these people won't tell the truth is because these are the people who created this problem and profit by its ongoing catastrophic effects! No chance that they will admit it. Maybe when they see grocery stores looted all over the Nation running on the twenty four hour news cycle all over the world they will begin to see the big picture.

  2. You and I are in the same boat.

The current economic paradign is that the 20 and 30 somethings have been told that if they help kill off the older workers there will be more for them in the end. The human resources depts. are full of these nasty cynical people who will not hire older workers, or experienced workers, but are told to hire only younger workers and fire them as soon as they look too ambitious.

    Down the system.

I prepare for total social chaos and universal revolution.

  3. THEY ARE. Except no one really listens, we prefer to listen to our president and his cabinet who keep telling us everything will be FINE, since their families are busy reaping profits from the oil companies they own

  4. Why would wall street or the government tell you the truth? Wall street makes money when people buy and sell stocks, if they tell you stocks are a terrible investment they won't make any money. If the govt tells you things are bad you'll want a new government. Better to sell good news I think.
