Why don't Young Marines get to wear the digital camo pattern.?

I'm joining the Young Marines so i'm just wondering.

In addition to Gunny C's answer I think it is a matter of discipline as well.  There is a lot more work for the old BDU's than the digis.  This will help teach respect for the uniform and time management.

Has not been authorized by the Marine Corps which is a requirement and sources for children's sizes is questionable.  I would say in a few years the YM's will change over but right now staying with cammies.

Why would they?  Their not real Marines.

some do. depends on the unit as well as the suppliers. but youth programs like YM and usnscc usually get the left overs of the uniforms just so you have something to wear
