Why don't a lot of Red Wings fans like Chris Osgood?

I have heard that a lot of people who are Red Wings fans don't like Chris Osgood and I wondered why because he is their best goalie and he blocks almost all of the shots made his way. So help me out and give me an answer please!

because he said that he dislikes detroit because he is scared to walk the streets there at night. he said the only way to be safe in detroit was to have chris pronger as a body guard so he could go BOOM on those gansta's who run the streets in MO town.

I absolutely love Ozzie, I was pretty upset when they traded him.

I was also upset when they let Manny L go.

Im a wings fan, i guess i dont mind Osgood. But  Detroit goalies for the last 8 years have been bad, it never mattered though because of the good defense. The wings only need a solid goaltender and dont want to waste salary cap space. He fits the job description.

OZGOD! Names on the Cup 3 times!

Record in the last 3 years including playoffs (one year was injured)..... 72-22-15 .... Whats not to like about that?

I love Ozzy and so do all the other wing fans. Thats why you always hear "Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy" during the home games. And yes he is a great goalie. Very underappreciated

I haven't heard that. Ozzie has been a Redwing for a long time....he was backup to Vernon........then went to the blues (where Manny is now)........

He was welcomed home and we are glad to have him...always have been glad to have him..........

Maybe habit?  They have had Legacy and Hasek.  I like Osgood, he is the only goalie they have had for a while who doesn't choke in the play-offs.

Because maybe he played for the Blues and the Wings/Blues have a nice rivalry. That's all I can think of.

I don't know what "fans" you were talking to, but every single Red Wing fan I know loves Ozzie. Maybe they were trying to yank your chain..........

I can't think of one reason why they'd hate him.
