Are they stupid?

For instance, what's with these pop-up ads on yahoo that you have to chase all over the screen to get rid of so that you can read your answers?

Does Purina think they're clever? I wouldn't feed their chinese cat food to my worst enemy!

What are your thoughts on this?

  1. I can't speak for the pop-up ads and such but with my job I get people who get very upset with me for near the same reason. I take calls from my home for infomercials you see on TV. They call and make their order and then we have to follow a script with a lot of additional up sells. With some things there are six to ten more offers. People get real angry with me but are calls are recorded and if we do not read all the script word for word we loose or job. So to anyone who calls me.....I am sorry. :)

  2. They just don't get it!

    They're salespeople!

  3. Well its just to get the label into your head, for example the company that makes head on had an astounding success from there commercials.

"HeadOn apply directly to the forehead...."

that might not make you want to buy HeadOn but it made you remember the product and its name.

The opposite can be said of the game system dreamcast. They were a fine system with good games but did next to no advertising and the division went belly up
