  2. They have a tight grip to the branch of the tree

  3. they have a tight grip sweety.

  4. It's because of the way the tendons work in a perching bird's leg. When      the bird hunkers down for sleep, it bends its leg at the knee and the heel. Two thin      wires, called flexor tendons, run down the leg around the knee and heel, and attach      to the toes. The bending of the bird's legs when it perches tightens up these tendons,      and, like a puppet's strings, curls the toes. The neat thing is the bird doesn't even      have to think about it to make it happen. ♥

  5. maybe its because God gave them good balance to hang on to the limb.

  6. There is an area in their brain, that I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, but I'm going to look it up.  Anyway, this part of their brain is what guides them on their way when they fly from one place to another.  It guides them for balance as well.  When a bird is perched, this part of the brain prevents them from falling.  Kind of like a automatic response.  If they were to begin loosing their balance, it would automatically kick in and the bird would be aware immediately.  this is what I was told anyway,  It sounded logical.  Perhaps someone with more knowledge than I have can be more informative.

  7. 1.They are laying in a nest (Only in breeding season to keep their eggs warm)

2.One side of the brain is still working (To watch out for predators, protect their young, and keep their balnce) this switches to the other side half way between their sleep

3.There is a tendon which tightens as the birds fall into a deeper sleep

  8. Don't they sleep in nests?

  9. most of these people are close to the reason why they dont fall, the reason is brids feet are always tightley clinched and since there awake they keep there feet open so when they fall asleep there legs become clinched.
