At this point in the war I think most conservatives are against the war.

However, I do support drafting the bush twins! That would repay GW's debt on skipping out on Vietnam.

One thing conservatives wouldn't like is the idea of paying for the war repubs got us into.

They will wait till the dems get back in office, left with the largest national debt in history. When dems start to clean up the mess left for them conservatives will say "Oh look, Tax and spend dems".

But they never spent anything.

G: I've put my feet where my mouth is.  I've protected our nation, our constitution and the freedoms you enjoy.  I have several deployments to multiple combat zones.  I've earned my rights as well as having been lucky enough to have been born to them.  I've helped the unfortunate, not lucky enough to have been born with the right you were, in other parts of the world attain the same rights.

Conservatives don't want a draft, that is a liberal thing. Conservatives believe in pride and honor via volunteering.

We conservatives believe in the volunteer military service.  The main reason is that we do not want people who do not want to be in the military.

Why put restrictions on the draft?   Do like Israel does, make every man or woman serve a term in the military.

Your suggestion to make a "conservative only draft" is about as inane as making a "blacks only draft", or a "whites only draft".

How about making every male illegal immigrant between the ages of 18 and 35 serve a hitch in the military to be allowed to stay in the US?
