Question:

Why don't dogs and cats have belly buttons?

We, as humans have belly buttons, where the umbilical cord was cut and healed in a weird innie or outie way.

But examine the belly of a dog or a cat and you'll be (possibly) surprized to see that it doesn't have a belly button.

As they are born with an umbilical cord, just like us, how come they don't end up with a belly button, just like us?
