Why don't energy drinks have any affect on me?

I drink rockstars, red bulls, and monsters but they don't ever have any affect on me. My friends always get really excited and hyper but i'm always the same. I'm just really curious, so does anyone know why

Well most people actually if they keep drinking things like that actually become immune to it well the caffeine it is not adviser able to drink that much of it or coffee but people do different things for different reasons.

Several things can cause this to happen.

You can have a natural resistance to caffeine. Some people get real energized for a long time with just the slightest amount and others takes several drinks before they notice it. Most people are in the middle.

This can also result if you consume a bunch of caffeine on a regular basis. Since your body is use to it then it takes more to give you a boost. Caffeine is found it chocolate, coffee, tea, soda, and energy drinks.

You can be dehydrated already. Plus caffeine takes more water to process then energy drinks provide. So it takes extra water from your system which dehydrates you. When we are dehydrated we feel tired and lethargic. First drink 2 glasses of water. It is a natural energizer and will hydrate you. If after 15 minutes you still need a boost then try an energy drink, but drink an extra glass of water with it to offset the dehydrating effects.

it doesn't make me hyper and giddy either because I'm naturally hyper. usually it mellows me out like coffee. if that's not the case then your body just has high tolerance for caffeine.

those things aren't really energy drinks they just say that it acually makes u have less energy try drinking water instead of that

Same thing i drink monster energy drinks for the TASTE but it doesnt work on me it works on my friends but not on me...YOUR BODY CAN HANDLE ALOT OF CAFFENE thats probably the reason

Man those things are like drugs. You need more and more each time, either that or your becoming immune to the sugar rush.

If you can drink coffee before bed and still sleep (my ex-husband is like that), the energy drinks might not work for you. I have tried the 5-hour energy shots sold at convenience stores. They work for me, but I don't drink coffee or caffeinated drinks.
