you could say they have a better understanding of the value of life and a much clearer one. I find myself asking questions about religion a lot and the truth is no one will know till we die. But if one were a evolutionist you would not believe in a after life and the years we have here alive on earth is all we get making the person not wanting to end theirs any sooner. As to picketing funerals people who believe in no afterlife are generally passive and do not attack other people for believing what they want. If you really think about it the only reason why we accept death is because it is something that everyone must do.

I guess it would be because atheists value life, whereas God worshippers value death.  They are passing by this beautiful life we have NOW for something that might not even be there waiting for them.

They are hoping there is a heaven so they can excuse what happens here on earth as merely a test of their faith, or the mystery of God.

We atheists generally don't desire to force others to be who we are and believe what we believe.  Live and let live.
