Why don't fast food restaurants serve hot dogs?

I'm sure some do but I'm asking why the most common ones don't.

You can get a hot dog anytime.  I think hot dogs are more thought of at a sporting event or a picnic.

Weinerschnitzel and Sonic do.  Probably the quality of hot dog most fast food places would sell would not be popular with the public.  Knowing what the quality of McDonalds beef is, I would be doubly scared to buy a hot dog there.

McDonald's - sometimes they have the brautwurst dog, not on the menu all the time.
