  1. Why would they pay you when they could just make it illegal for you to NOT go?

    Thats stupid.

  2. Because you are required by law to be schooled in one form or another, whereas as an adult, you have a choice to work or not, where to work, what type of work, etc. You are rendering some sort of service as an adult who works; you are on the receiving end of a service as a child in school. The taxpayers are already paying a lot of money to support the kids being there; they shouldn't have to pay kids to be there!

And just wait until you get to college where not only are you not paid to go, but you have to PAY to go!

  3. that's a good idea.  i might do that for my kids one day

  4. Because getting a proper education is a privilege. You should be thankful for it.

  5. Why they get one of the best things there is, in eduction!

  6. Awh.. You're right. That would totally rock!

I wish they'd do it. I'd be a much better student then.

Even parents giving their kids money to go to school would be a nice incentive. *sigh*

  7. gawd i wish i got paid 2 g2 school!

sometimes when its all quiet in the classroom, and everyone is workin on what theyre supposed 2 b working on, i think why dont i march outta here and go home??! then i think of the cute boys in my class and stare at them instead!

guys make the world go 'round!

i feel bad 4 home schooled girls cos how else r u gonna find the guy of your dreams? ;)

  8. It feels like work and is treated like a daily adult job, but the difference is you aren't producing anything, performing any services, or generally doing something for somebody else. What you do in school is meant to benefit you so you don't get paid for being there. That's like asking people to give you money for keeping your own house clean. If you had a cleaning service and you cleaned OTHER people's homes, you deserve the money, but not for cleaning your own home.

  9. They are being taught how to survive in the real world by sovling problems, which gets them a job, which pay bills, and helps you live through life. So basically, school just helps you live later as you get older.

  10. The incentive is to go to school so they may become successful in finding a job that pays. That's what college is for. One pays for the education so one is set for the real workforce.

Your parents probably pays for your elementary-high school education through their taxes.

  11. They do get paid to go to school in some areas.

  12. because school is so easy compared to work that if kids ever found this out, they'd never leave school - then where would we be?

  13. How come parents don't get paid for letting them live in the house?

  14. Education is a privilege and you are lucky that you don't have to pay to go yet. Wait till College if you ever go!

  15. A good education is payment in itself.

  16. Who said kids don't get paid to go to school? In some countries, they do. There's Youth Allowance and Ausstudy here; Education Maintenance Allowance in England etc.

BTW What has this got to do with homeschooling.

  17. because your 'rents are paying for you to get smart!

    and be successful.

if you were to get paid - then majority of the class wouldnt want to work.

  18. Because your Big Brother the State knows what's best for you and has already robbed you so he can build a school and hire minions -cops- to make sure you go there for training.

  19. Haha, well... I don't know, but that would be a great concept :)

Still, you couldn't pay me to ever go back to a public school.

  20. LOL - just wait for the real world!

  21. Because if they don't go to "SCHOOL", they never learn that they can only get "PAID" by LEARNING to read and write.  ps:  NOBODY likes getting up in the morning.

  22. Because an education is inherently valuable gift in and of itself.  It is a SERVICE being provided by the government in exchange for taxes that citizens pay.  The privilege of getting an education is all the pay you deserve, in fact more than you deserve.

My kids are homeschooled because I value education, and I feel that in America the Public School is a very flawed system,  but I still support the Public School system with my taxes and feel that your question is extremely ungrateful to your teachers, your country, and all of the citizens who are paying every year so you won't be totally illiterate in addition to being born stupid and ungrateful.

  23. well, kid's don't get paid to go to school because school is a choice.  you can choose not to go and stay in the bed all morning.  The only thing with that is, you will eventually have to get out of bed.  Once  you've accomplished that, what do you do? hmmmmmm, since you didn't want to go to school and you don't have a job because, YOU DON'T HAVE AN EDUCATION!!! you think, what will i EAT or better yet, i need to bathe, or let me go watch TV or use the computer or listen to the radio.... Well, that's not happening because if you were a KID in my house, you would no longer be in my house.  Some American children are soooo spoiled and ungrateful that i believe that the ones that think like you should be sent to live in a 3rd world country for a year or 2.  You should be sent somewhere where you aren't allowed to go to school or you can't because your family needs you to go out and work just to get a loaf or bread or a bowl of rice on the table for the entire family to have for dinner.  This question was really a sad reality of what alot of kids think this day and age....  Please go to school and get a better mind set for yourself, love ya!!!!

  24. You are paid to go too school! You are given an education so that when you finally grow up you can become a meaningful part of society.

I was a lot like you if they paid me too do it I might have tried harder but after i graduated High school and realized what I received in the form of education I realized that the 13 years it took for me to get through it was worth the investment. Your teachers know this and after you graduate with all the knowledge that can be given to you in school you will start to realize it as well. Until then here's hoping success and maturity too you. God Bless

  25. School is a privilege!

  26. I was at my first job!

I got 1.40 to work and 1.65 to go to school so I went to school!

    And I did good, too!

  27. cuz you kept them home.
