Question:

Why don't leading politicians and future puppets have meetings in private?

Why do they have to have the cheesy photographs taken of certain poses such as fake hand-shakes. Doesn't it just look generally unapealing and false?

So why do the media (the people) bother working for them - who are they? Are they simply 'knowledgable' in certain aspects and pulling the wool over the "little peoples'" eyes - or are they just gullible themselves and working for a wiser bunch of people than you or I?

  2. Because it is publicity that they are after. They owe their status to publicity, and with more publicity they hope to hold on to that status.

As for the media, they hang around where the ''little people'' are attracted - to politicians and celebrities. That way they are assured of a field day all the time.

  3. Ever heard of the Bohemian Grove?

  4. Yes, but if they didn't meet in public how could we provide color commentary on their outfits, laugh at them, or simply scoff. I think it is good they give us people to make fun of and not take seriously. It is a good diversionary tactic from the real issues after all, keeps us from thinking. That might be dangerous.

  6. The media is also controlled, as the politians are, by the ones at the top with the power.

The people working for the media; the journalists, the ones at the bottom, are gullible and controlled.  The ones at the top are in the know.

  7. that kevin rudd likes to hang around celebrity people.Even this famous writer from America who gave a sermon at church said he was friendly with K. Rudd and they had a long lunch.

  8. The question it seems is pitched against the norm, but the point I see is valid as for it there could be an explanation. But first the question – who are they? They I understand are the one who we elected into office, the ones we like to see perfume on stage and in political arena, as we believe that this is our right to know both what they are doing, and how they doing. If instead of democracy there were, for instance, some form of autocratic government in place, as elitist oligarchy or theocracy, then public would not be needed to get involved in the political process, as then it would not be considered beneficial to the affairs of the state.

On the other hand one might imagine that media intrusion, or presence, during all those all-important summits, conferences and meetings is a privilege that politician, who believe me have lot on their minds, enjoy at the best, but the reality I think is somewhat different. I think is really hard for people to perfume when they are under spotlight, when they cannot afford to make mistakes and neither can they ignore the all seeing lenses of tens of cameras.

This then might be true the their smiles are cheesy and fake, their handshakes merely a show off, and their performance in part pure acting, but all this I believe is well considered and premeditated as to send out desired messages. It is hard work and many have faltered, tumbled and toppled in front of the millions of their voters. It was the camera that made J F Kennedy popular, who looked bright and young, and President Nixon pale into relative insignificance, as he looked weary and tired. It is the never forgetful and unforgiving camera that politicians learn to respect and regard for their own good and also for the good of their people.
