  1. Indian women are pressured from family, society & religion NOT to divorce while the stigma of divorce in America has pretty much went away.  Likewise, American women are less likely to remain in abusive relationships or relationships in which their husbands treat them like dirt because they have opportunities available to them that are lacking in other countries.

I would also say that America women are MORE likely to marry thinking in terms of "romantic love" and when it cools and the daily grind of living enters their life they move on instead of making it work (selfishness / materialism is fairly common in American society..for both s*x's).

  2. It's getting more common for american women to marry more that once, while indian women are very religious and look down upon divorce.

  3. If you want your husband to go and stick their d!c* in someone else's pu$$y and come home and stick it in yours, that's fine. Us "American" women has more self respect than that. Some of "Us" will work and try to overcome it, but some of "Us" just don't allow that kind of behavior.

  4. i realise the same thing . american woman believe so much in divorce  or killing their hubby that they can t really help but get divorce .also they believe in freedom and all that goes with it . also americans seems to be the ones with more drug and abuse issue( the men) .  i personnally do not believe in divorce and if unfortunately it happens in my life which i doubt i will not remarry . i believe in my vows so much that i would all i can to make my marriage work . also i see most americans people get divorced over things like cheating instead of overcoming it .i am not saying it is ok to cheat , dont get me wrong but come on. that is my opinion

  5. well when you're 12 and locked inside you don't get the opportunities or even a choice of who to marry you just get sold to some old raisin and raped well choices are limited.... America land of the free.

  6. Well it's hard to stick to a guy who walks out on you & the kids and files for divorce, right? lol....

Hard to stick to a guy who cheats...who is abusive. Controlling....

and while we are at it, why not ask the same question re: American men? Same thing.

In the USA botn men & women are supposed to be complete equals...women are not subservient and don't have to put up with bull S**t if they choose not to.

My second marriage is wonderful....he treats me the way i deserve to be.....am sticking to him permanently..besides my kids think he awesome so they'd swing me fro the nearest tree if I left him...lol no chance of that happening...

    Yay...Valerie ROCKS.......

  7. I agree. People in the US get married for many reasons often going into a marriage with the opinion of getting divorced when things don't work out. It shows. Families are torn apart. A sad fact indeed. It is the all about me country and I'm glad to hear that there are countries out there who still have respect and dignity and stand by their commitments.

  8. has nothing to do with being american or indian...it has to do with choice from both party...chill and take care of your woman, don't concern yourself with others

  9. Because we can do whatever we want :-)  Life is fabulous!

  10. Because American women are strong and independent enough to not put up with c**p from their men.  For instance, wearing a veil or full body coverings wouldn't fly with a lot of American women, and neither does being controlled by men.  We know what we want, what we are worthy of and how we should be treated, and if a man isn't going to provide that, then we walk.

  11. Here we go with generalizing again.  To generalize only tells the rest of the world you're either ignorant or just simple.  So what's your excuse?

American women are strong minded.  We are independent and don't necessarily need a husband to survive.  We prefer to have a loving husband but that's not always the case.  To generalize like you did, I would assume all Hindu women are push overs and have no mind to think for themselves.  More or less slaves.  Fortunately our country moved past that nostalgic way of thinking.  Sure some refuse to change and that's fine, it's their life to live.  Maybe someday your society/culture will progress too.  These poor women can at least hope.

  12. My wife, my sister, my sister-in-law, and my mother are all Americans.  My wife has been married to me for 22 years so far; my sister has been married to her husband for 25 years so far; my SIL has been married to my brother for 30 years so far; and my mother has been married to my father for over 50 years.  In other words, since it's so easy to come up with examples that prove you are wrong, it is clear that you do not know whereof you speak.

Valerie -- LOL!  You know that's going to get a violation notice, right?  (Not from me, by the way, because what you said is so, so true!)

  13. because if the first one doesn't work out , we find a replacement.
