Question:

Why don't many top notch schools give credit for AP World History?

It just seems weird because they give out credits for almost all other AP's (at least if you got a 5) but not for world. However, statistics show that world is actually one of the harder exams. I just don't like how I got a 5 on World and may not receive any credit for it.

  1. That makes no sense, but at my school a lot of people made freshman honors world history just by getting As, sometimes Bs even, in social studies. Its the easiest honors class to make, and it generally leads to the AP History programs. These are very challenging classes just like AP English or science, but maybe colleges feel that it doesn't matter about history exams bcuz they're too popular and can be overlooked. I don't know.
