  1. Cause we think we are ALWAYS RIGHT.

  2. It may be a stereotype, but lots of times it's true. My dad will drive around for an hour, even wtih gas at $4+ per gallon before he will ask for directions. Mom and I are going to get him a GPS for his birthday maybe that will help :-)

  3. Because we have internal GPS systems

  4. cuz we know how to get there even when we don't....we have an excellent sense of direction....we will find it (eventually)....we can read a map....we are always right....even if we do ask we kno we won't remember them anyway...we were boy scouts

  5. I agree it is just a stereotype. I would much prefer to stop and ask someone then drive around and have to pay these gas prices :-)

  6. Men not asking for directions is a stereotype. There are many out there that will ask for directions. However, some men (in their macho ism) believe they don't need help from other people and only need to rely on their instints (aka they think they're right). Ha. Men. Well, I hope that helps!

  7. These men you are asking about are men who never travel . I was a truck driver and all truck drivers ask ,,, On the CB or the telephone or check it out on the internet and maps. These are the lifes blood for truck drivers.

  8. We don't need too.  We have road maps and atlas'.  That is all you need.  I live in VA and took a trip to MI a fews ago.  I had an atlas and i was fine.

  9. It is a personality trait that some have. I have it to a certain degree. However maps, tour book and GPS have reduced the need to ask to extremely infrequent. I recently had to ask in a small town in Mass where the cemetery was. In the cemetery I had to ask where the grave site I was looking for was. Traumatic!
