Why don't men like opening their wallets and paying for things?

my 1st husband was great and would give me money to the house etc..Husband no 2. was evil and I had to pay for everything(good thing he's gone)

First husband was good, second was bad. but you asked why don't men like opening their wallets?

Just because your second husband was cheap doesn't mean that men are cheap.

Some guys are good some guys are not.  I feel it my responsibility to take care of my wife and kids.  I will give them money when they need it.  I wont give them money for stupid material possessions though.

first of all why did you leve your first husband if he vas that great, second of all not all men are like that some men are kind but some are evil like you said but if you keep looking the man you whant is out there.

To reiterate a point earlier made (something I also thought of straight away), your first husband had money but something was missing, your second husband didn't but something was still missing...

There is more to life than money and buying things, we need food, water, shelter and clothes, after that we just need to learn how to live. Simple really.

Although I would like to add to that a husband should give all he can (that is, whatever is within his means) towards his wife, no doubt.

Why don't you get a job and contribute something yourself to the family...its not the 1940s anymore sweetie, you want to buy lots of nice things that you don't really NEED but WANT then you should have to buy them yourself. Grow up...
