Why don't mexicans make better use of their own resources, and regulate over population?

Why do mexicans not do something about their country and situation to bring themselves out of misery?

!st. they need to get ride of crooked politicians and drug dealers.

Why don;t they reduce the population of mexico use birth control and tell the pope to kiss their what ever?

Why don't they insist on private ownershiop of property?

Latin America has been repressed by it's government for so long they will never be able to change their lifestyle without fleeing their homeland.

The majority of Mexicans are living in abject poverty.  Their homes are made out of tin and cardboard.  The cartels and corrupt politicians are in charge and make life even more difficult for them.  Add to that the fact that they are Roman Catholic, and do not believe in using birth control, thus their population is bursting at the seams.  There is no one, simple solution to their woes.  It is unfortunate that their current el presidente is keeping "business as usual."  His opponent wanted to make big changes for Mexico.

FYI, Mexico IS doing a LOT about its problems!

- Over the past 5-6 years the average income has increased over 35%. (now one of the highest in Latin America!)

- The bank interest rate has dropped from 40% to 7.5% in the past 10 years.

- The Mexican peso is the most stable in its history. (6 years ago was 10.25 to the US dollar, currently at 10.90 to the US dollar)

- Mexico has had completely free and fair elections since 1994 and the opposition has won the last two! (the IFE or Federal Election Institute, is considered one of the best of its kind in the world and actually advises the UN)

- Mexicans ARE using birth control these days. In 1960 the average number of children per family in Mexico was 7.5! This year is is 2.1!

- Mexico is already a land of private enterprise and private property with a conservative government, where are you getting you info from?

You would probably do better if you actually looked up answers first instead of showing your ignorance with these silly questions!

While we are at it perhaps YOU could answer me a couple......

Why does the USA permit such extensive and illegal use of drugs that the vast sums of illegal cash your people pay for drugs actually destroy the cultures, societies and economies of so many other countries?

For that matter, why does the US consume 75% of the world's illegal drugs?

Why does the US have the highest rates of people living in abject poverty of any modern industrial society?

Why are there more Americans in prisons per capita than any western nation?

Why does the US allow the makers of junk food to prey on America's children to the point that the child obesity rate in the US is the highest in the World?

Why is the US one of the murder and violence capitals of the world?

Why does the US produce about 80% of the pornography in the world?

(You try and answer me those and we'll get back to Mexico's problems later, Okay Doaky?)

I don't know,  but there is surely some answers somewhere, I don't think they have the oppurtunities like we do, but why is it,  our place to take care of them,  we have enough people in our own country who need our help, I really think these people are just treated so bad, they just want to be free, but they   should also do it in the right way, not sneaking through the borders, I do really feel for these people, but I don't have any answers, but we are not there keepers.

Granted, Mexico is rife with corruption.  The main religion in Mexico is Catholicism, which prohibits birth control.  It's highly doubtful they're going to tell the pope to kiss their whatever.

That being said...

Why don't Americans do the same?  

37 million Americans live in poverty.  Why don't the Americans do something to get them out of their misery?  

Drugs are dealt with impunity throughout the country.  Why don't we do something about that?

We have our share of crooked politicians.   Why do we keep electing them?

We have a growing birth rate.  Why don't more Americans use birth control?
